Course Description:


This 2-day program is designed with the experienced surgeon in mind that is looking to advance their techniques on the treatment of complex spinal disorders. This elective based program can be customized to meet training needs with lecture, case-review, hands-on workshops, and round table discussion on topics of the participants choosing.


Course Goals & Objectives


Upon completion of this course, participants should  be able to:

 

  • Identify and apply treatment options for complex disease pathologies
  • Discuss complications associated with both primary and revision surgical treatment of adult and adolescent spine conditions
  • Apply three-dimensional correction techniques; reduction, translation, de-rotation and osteotomies
  • Demonstrate sacral and sacro-iliac fixation solutions with spinoplevic instrumentation
  • Understand the pros and cons of minimally invasive procedures in treating a variety of spinal conditions
  • Apply pre and post-operative infection solutions
     

Audience

 

Experienced Orthopaedic Surgeons & Neurosurgeons who:

  • Treat Adult and/or Pediatric Complex Spine Conditions
  • Have 3+ years of post-fellowship experience
  • Perform at least 35 Complex procedures per year
