Course Description:


This 1.5-day, intermediate level program is designed for
practicing surgeons interested in developing their skills on the
clinical diagnosis and surgical treatment of spinal deformities. 
The program combines lecture, live surgical observation, case
review, and hands-on application for the safe and effective
use of DePuy Spine products.


Course Goals & Objectives


Upon completion of this course, participants should 
be able to:

 

  • Classify Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) and distinguish classification models
  • Indicate pedicle anatomy for screw insertion
  • Discuss the use of osteotomies
  • Apply three-dimensional correction techniques; reduction, translation and de-rotation
  • Demonstrate sacral and sacro-iliac fixation solutions with spinoplevic instrumentation


Audience

 

  • Orthopaedic and Neurosurgeons 1-5 years in practice

                    *Spine fellows in a deformity program may apply

  • Spine surgeons treating more than 20 Scoliosis patients per year
  • Spine surgeons treating adolescent patients
