DePuy Spine is not only committed to educating surgeons, but also to educating, nurses, physician assistants, and hospital staff as well.

Through educational grants to CEU Institute, DePuy Spine sponsors a number of spine surgery courses (introductory and advanced) tailored specifically to RNs, PAs, RNFAs, and CSTs.

 

 

Spine Fundamentals: Surgical Solutions for Spinal Pathologies

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of operating room nurses, physician assistants, and staff.  The agenda offers a review of the history of spinal surgery, spinal anatomy, and biomechanics, and a discussion of surgical treatment options.  A bioskills workshop is included for hands-on experience.  CEU Institute designates a maximum of 4 contact hours and the course is CEU-accredited for nurses and physician assistants in most states.

 

 

Advanced Spine Surgery

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of operating room nurses, physician assistants, and staff who already have a basic understanding of spinal anatomy and surgical procedures for the spine.  The agenda includes advanced spinal anatomy, how to read radiological images, and a review of surgical procedures to treat complex spinal pathologies.  A bioskills workshop is included for hands-on experience.  CEU Institute designates a maximum of 4 contact hours and the course is CEU-accredited for nurses and physician assistants in most states.
